Description

Cut precisely to shape with the use of a CNC router by Saturday Workshop, these boards are designed with functionality in mind. The intentional lack of decoration places the emphasis on the natural character of the Irish beech. Finished and sealed by hand with food safe Danish oil, the addition of the hole allows the board to be hung up when not in use. Perfect for chopping garlic and herbs or serving a little treat on. A larger version of this board is available here.

Dimensions and Care:

Each board measures 20cm x 15cm x 2.5cm Wipe with warm soapy water after use, do not immerse as this may cause warping. Rub with linseed oil when the wood looks ‘thirsty’.

Sustainability:

Saturday Workshop create simple. yet practical wooden pieces from locally sourced, native Irish hardwoods. With functionality in mind, their work is designed to be used and loved for a long time.

All of the timber used in Saturday Workshop products comes from sustainably managed forests in Ireland. The beech trees had been planted over two hundred years ago, and felled by Winter storms to be eventually processed by local companies.

Their boxes are made up of recycled card, and are assembled by hand, with labels printed and pasted on in Dublin.
